We had a fantastic private tour in Gran Canaria with Marc Llorens today. Marc picked us up from our hotel and, after taking the time to understand what we wanted to see and experience, created the perfect half-day itinerary for us. We visited a local market, explored Las Palmas, drove to Arucas to visit a banana plantation and a vineyard, enjoyed a delicious lunch at a charming mountain restaurant, and finished the day with a visit to a volcano. Every stop was interesting and beautifully chosen. Marc is an incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and friendly guide. He shared fascinating insights about the island’s history, culture, and local life, making the day both fun and educational. Yesterday we had a wonderful day out on the Boutique Winery Lunch tour with Marc. He collected us from our hotel in his very comfortable car and agreed with us the itinerary for the day. The main focus was a tour of Senorio de Cabrera, a small family run winery, followed by lunch there. En route, Marc took us to the last volcano to erupt on Gran Canaria (2,000 years ago) and from the top we had magnificent views into the caldera and over the surrounding countryside to Las Palmas and the sea. From there we headed to the winery where we were warmly greeted by the owners. We were shown round the winery by owner Augustin and Marc, seeing the vines, orange, peach, mango, papaya, avocado and olive trees and coffee bushes. We were able to try coffee beans straight from the bush and see the various stages of natural drying of coffee beans in the sun. Then followed an explanation of the production of white, rose and red wines at this small winery where many processes are done by hand, finishing in the cave where the bottles of wine are laid down. After the tour we were treated to a delicious lunch, all made by owner Felicia, and accompanied by generous quantities of white, rose and red wine produced on site. The atmosphere was relaxed and our hosts were very charming. We chatted with Marc over lunch and learned more about the history of the winery and its delightful owners. Finally it was time to say goodbye and Marc drove us back to our hotel, answering our many questions about life on Gran Canaria as we travelled. We enjoyed every moment of our day and we highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys good food and wine and wishes to know more about wine production on Gran Canaria.

The company is the best address for private tours on the island! Whether your interest are hiking, beaches, sports, the island’s culture, seeing historic villages, tasting local foods or wines, just tell Marc what you want to experience and he tailors the day for you. He brought us to great places off the beaten tourist path, that we would either not have found at all or would have had to spend a lot of time to discover/ organize for by ourselves. He knows when you need to be at what place and where to park for easy access. He picked us up from and dropped us back at our hotel in a comfortable & clean SUV, that felt safe and is fit for going on the hilly roads. He feels 100% trustworthy, is neatly dressed, drives in a calm & considered manner and carries water/ snacks for his tour guests. We heard Marc speaking excellent & fluent English, French and Spanish, not sure what other languages he has. Overall a very fun, relaxed, efficient & easy way to discover the island. Marc is the perfect host for seeing Gran Canaria. He spent two days showing my family a variety of beautiful and interesting villages and natural sights. He was so patient with our 2 year old and offered a perfect balance of information and insights without overwhelming us. We will absolutely call him next year. High quality private tour, would highly recommend! Did a wine tour with Marc, the lovely tour guide/owner of Personal Tour where we learned a bit more about the country and also a new found appreciation for the intricacies of wine, specially Gran Canaria wine. He was extremely knowledge, friendly and thoughtful! We traveled up north after being picked up from our hotel in the South. We went to see the last active volcano Bandama Caldera, which was beautiful and breathtaking. We then went to a small vineyard called La Higuera Mayor where we met the owner and got to see all the aspects of the winemaking process. We learned a ton about what goes into making high quality wine and nuances of different wines based on the soil, wind, water etc. Tasted 5 different wines, some cheese + bread and delicious chocolate. Overall was very happy with this private tour and next time I am back in town will pursue the others that are offered. Notably we reached out the day before we wanted to tour via email and got an immediate response and picked up promptly the next morning. The entire thing was seamless! Again would highly recommend reaching out to Marc to see what kind of fabulous tour he can either create for you or interesting places he can take you. Recommend wearing comfortable shoes to walk around and perhaps a sweater as it can get a little nippy in the north due to the trade winds.
